Lou Living (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.louliving.co.uk, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

    • Order information: name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, and order/payment details when you make a purchase. 

    • Account/contact information: name and email address if you contact us, or sign up to the Lou Living Circle. 

    • Payment information: payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Squarespace Payments. We do not store your full card details ourselves. 

    • Technical information: IP address, browser type, and browsing behaviour on our site, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie section below). 

    • Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive emails from us, and your engagement with those emails. 

  • We use your personal data to: 

    • Process and fulfil your orders, including taking payment, arranging delivery, and handling returns 

    • Communicate with you about your order (confirmations, shipping updates, customer service) 

    • Send you marketing emails about new collections, studio updates and rituals — but only if you have actively opted in (e.g. via the Lou Living Circle sign-up form) 

    • Improve our website and products 

    • Comply with our legal and tax obligations (e.g. record-keeping for HMRC)

  • Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

    • Squarespace, our website host and e-commerce/payment platform

    • Squarespace Email Campaigns (or similar), to send marketing emails if you've opted in 

    • HMRC and our accountant, where required for tax and accounting purposes 

    We require any third party we share data with to keep it secure and use it only for the purposes we've agreed.
